Torture Garden started in late 2015 as a recording project between Rob Lovell and Emily Morgan. After the release of their demo Hecatombs, Dan McCoy and Jasmine Mayberry were recruited for drums and bass, respectively. Their first show was in January 2016 at SIBERIA in New Orleans. The following years saw the release of the II tape, the split 7″ with THE WORLD IS A VAMPIRE, and the digital release of the 2017 EP. After a brief hiatus the band reformed with Rob moving to drums and Amy Allday coming aboard on bass and Katie Ballou taking over on guitar. Their full length album FEVER DREAMS AND GUILLOTINES was released in January of 2021. After another lineup change, including Rob moving back to guitar and Killian Doussan coming on as drummer, nearly a decade of ripping around the country and playing locally in their hometown of New Orleans the quadruple is working on a new album, embracing the evolution of their sound. The group’s crust inspired d-beat takes influence from such legendary acts as Tragedy, Nausea and Econo Christ.
