Rubber Room: Chris Welch | Clint Niosi | Sara Ruth
February 25 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Chris Welch is a southern gothic songwriter from Denton TX, writing songs for the band Pinebox Serenade and many others. His songwriting is inspired by writers like Larry Brown and Harry Crews, as much as songwriters, like Leonard Cohen and Richard Buckner. Dark stories told with a deep baritone voice
Clint Niosi is a songwriter and composer who calls Fort Worth, Texas home. Clint is known as “an agile fingerstyle guitarist” (I Love FTW), with “great vocal tone and an original style” (D Magazine). Clint’s lyrics drip with literary themes that “often verge on poetry, as strong alone on the page as when performed with inflections and music added” (FW Weekly).
Sarah Ruth is a diverse musician and artist – a multi-instrumentalist, she employs hammered dulcimer, harmonium, electroacoustic sound art, and extended vocal techniques. She performs frequently both solo and with multiple bands and improvisational ensembles in the North Texas area.
