LÖVE, JOHNNY – CELEBRATING THE LIFE, MUSIC, AND ART OF JOHN FREEMAN

LÖVE, JOHNNY: Celebrating the life, art, and music of John Freeman

Denton, TX – John Freeman was a songwriter, frontman, and provocateur who left a
beautiful stain on the underground art and music scenes of Texas and New York.
Emerging in Dallas and Denton in the early ‘90s, his unfiltered performances blurred the
lines between punk, performance art, and pure chaos. Since his death in August of last
year, his impact lingers in the adoration of those who knew and loved him.

Please join us on Sunday, March 30, for LÖVE, JOHNNY, a live memorial show
celebrating John at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios (RGRS) in Denton, TX, featuring:
• Live Performances of John’s music by his friends, collaborators, and former
bandmates, including members of The Dooms UK, The Psychos!, Telethön, The
Meat Helmets, Duck Duck Annihilation and more
• The Sloppyworld Roadshow Gallery—an immersive exhibition of hundreds of
pieces of John’s original artwork created by Martin Iles and Heather Grace with
video by Eric Michener (Fishboy) and Corbett Sparks
• Dütch Trëats karaoke, throwback merch, exclusive video
• Hosted by Virginia Jones (badinia.com)

This free event is open to the public, made possible by the generous support of the
