Cemetary Man – Michele Soavi, Italy, 1994 8PM
New 4K restoration from Severin Films available January 2024. Francesco Dellamorte (Rupert Everett) is the groundskeeper at a cemetery where the dead just won’t stay deadāand it’s up to him to deal with those who come back to life with a hunger for human flesh. But Dellamorte’s job soon becomes much more complicated when he falls for an enigmatic young woman (Anna Falchi) whose husband has recently died. Based on the novel by Tiziano Sclavi (DYLAN DOG) and directed by Michele Soavi (THE CHURCH), CEMETERY MAN is a late masterpiece of Italian horror: quirky, gory, romantic, and unlike anything else.
Opera – Dario Argento, Italy, 1987 10pm
New 4K restoration from Severin Films. Thereās nothing else like OPERA. After the artistic highs of TENEBRE and PHENEMONA, Dario Argento (SUSPIRIA) was on a mission to make the most accomplished giallo of his career. And thatās exactly what he did. OPERA follows Betty, the star of an avant-garde production of MACBETH, as she deals with a black-gloved maniac on a mutilation spree at the opera house. With its ultra-stylized photography, complex metaphors, and intense violence, OPERA is a brilliantly deranged spectacleāand the most breathtaking horror experience of 1987. Thanks to Severin Films, this essential giallo is now available for bookings via a brand new 4K restoration.
