Slumbering Sun is a doomgaze super-group from Austin, Texas. The band is bringing the surface of the sun to Denton, following their performance at Mexico Metal Fest in Monterrey, after having shared the stage with Lucifer, Krisium, Napalm Death and other metal legends. Their debut album, “The Ever-Living Fire” made the Doom Charts last year, and the group has been tearing up Texas in preparation for their next release. Come experience the soulful vocals of James Clarke (Monte Luna), the harmonious dual guitars of Kelsey Wilson (Temptress) & Keegan Kjeldsen (Destroyer of Light), and the pounding rhythm section of Garth Condit (Enforcer) and Penny Turner (Destroyer of Light). They’re joined by sludge metal locals Faded Night, the otherworldly guitar odyssey that is Volume Creep, and Gloom rockers Seer.
